Barcelona are ready to make a young signing in January.

El Mundo Deportivo says Barca management are actively seeking to sign a whizkid in the coming weeks.

Top of their shopping list is German youngster Kai Havertz, 17.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger has already seen plenty of first team action, making 28 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit. This includes three in the Champions League.

Barca are ready to test Bayer's resolve with a major bid for Havertz in January.
