Real Madrid face a new threat from Barcelona over their deal for Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.

Marca says Real are convinced they will welcome Ribery to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of this season. Ribery came close to joining Real in the summer and is close to the club's new football advisor, Zinedine Zidane.

However, Barca have made a fresh attempt to lure Ribery to the Nou Camp.

With Thierry Henry preparing to leave Barca for MLS at the end of the season, coach Pep Guardiola sees Ribery as his ideal replacement.
