Sport says Begiristain has indicated that Real would have to pay Eto'o's £110 million buyout clause to sign the Cameroon international.

However, for other interested clubs, Begiristain added: "(Eto'o) is free to negotiate with interested teams, and when he reaches an agreement with one, then negotiations will open between the clubs, as happened with Deco (Chelsea) and Ronaldinho (Milan)."
