Barcelona table contract offer to Porto defender Bruno Alves

Barcelona are closing in on a deal for experienced Porto defender Bruno Alves.

A target for Manchester City and Inter Milan, Alves has received a five-year contract offer from Barca management in recent days.

Barca first expressed interest in the defender during the January market and is now hoping to thrash out terms with Porto over a fee of around £17 million for the Portugal international.
