Barcelona midfielder Xavi has collected a fresh hamstring injury.

The Spain international had only recently come back from a similar injury when he complained of discomfort following Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg defeat to Real Madrid.

According to a Barcelona statement on Friday, Xavi is likely to be out of action for "10 to 15 days", placing him in doubt for the return-leg of their Champions League tie with AC Milan.
