Barcelona striker David Villa has been released from hospital.

Villa has left hospital after undergoing treatment on kidney stones, the Primera Division leaders have confirmed.

A Barcelona statement read: "Villa has undergone the appropriate treatment to remove the kidney stones and has already been discharged from hospital.

"Villa will be reincorporated into training from this Wednesday and his recovery will decide his availability for the next match."
