Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer was delighted to help the team to their Copa del Rey victory over Alaves.

Alcacer struck in the 3-1 win.

"Things have got better since the beginning of the season when I couldn't score," said Alcacer to reporters.

"I needed to improve and adapt and the campaign has got better as it went on for me.

"Helping the team with a goal is something which makes me happy.

"At home, I was taught to always give my all when things aren't going well."

And Alcacer insists that he is working with the greatest footballer on the planet.

"Being on the pitch with Lionel [Messi] is incredible," he added. "Not just now, but the whole season.

"He does amazing things and I have no doubt he is the best in the world. He shows it every day."
