Barcelona midfielder Xavi has met with Manchester City chief Ferran Soriano.
Sport says Xavi met with Soriano in Barcelona, where he attempted to turn his head with a lucrative offer and a presentation on the Blues' plans for New York City, who will kick off their first season next March.
But the veteran politely declined as he wants to spend one final year with Barcelona under new coach and former team-mate Luis Enrique but would be open to revisiting a move next summer.
City, meanwhile, insist there's been no meeting between the pair, according to Manchester Evening News.
