Barcelona star Lionel Messi insists he doesn't envy new Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Manchester United star thumped Messi and Liverpool striker Fernando Torres in the voting for this year's European Footballer of the Year.
But the Argie ace insists: "I was not ever worried about the Ballon d'Or, much less now, fortunately things are going well me, but I always say that the most important thing is to keep doing well for the team and to win many titles.
"I am only 21 years old and I have left many things to do in football."

I think the whole argument stems from what constitutes the best player. Is it the goal-scoring ability? Or ability to rise up to the ocassion when it matters? Or just consistency throughout the season? We'll never know. What's interesting is that so many ppl doubted ronaldo when he won when that was not the case for most of the other winners. Anyway imo ronaldo is a complete player but messi is the most talented player in his generation and 2 years younger so its scary to think what will happen few years down d line. I expect him to pick up a few of these very soon enough..
All of you who talk about Messi's so called humlity.... What do you call someone who spits on theyre fellow professionals? OOOHHHH MESSI ,,,, ***** him an his faithfull. You have no respect for you fellow professionals. CR7 respects his fellow pros. Messi is a sack of shit.
Robert u r a fool.Period!Where was Messi when Barca was thumped by Real last season? He admitted they were outclassed.Wat was Messi doin when Brazil whipped Argentina's butt in Copa America final? Why did Messi fail 2 play 2 standard dat would at least have them retain 2nd spot in la liga when he came back? What was Kaka doin when Milan failed 2 qualify 4 champions league?Ronaldo won 77 out of 96 journalists votes!Messi & Torres shared d rest.Tragic!Comin 2 d votes,Ron had a 100+ above Messi! So Messi never came close.Dont tel me u know more about football than those who handed Ron d award.Fool!
