Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves has joked with fans over rumours linking him with Arsenal.

Alves was linked with the Gunners on the weekend and played up to the speculation on Twitter.

He posted: "Alert! Dani Alves has just confirmed his new destination is:"

And then wrote: "Spending the holidays and the new year with my father in Juazeiro , Bahia."

He later remarked: "Where is the newspaper that reports this information? A from madrid!! Ok ok thanks."
