Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves admits he would have been happy to join Chelsea two years ago.

He told BBC Sport: I don't know if I was close to signing, you would have to ask my agent that. But there was interest the summer before I signed for Barca.

"I watch plenty of football, especially the Premier League because it is great to watch. I have also seen Chelsea in the Champions League - they are certainly having a good season."
