Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is calm over his contract situation. The defender's current deal has just over 18 months to run and he is yet to hear from Barca about opening negotiations over a new extension.

"It is an issue that I am not concerned about at all," said Puyol. "I have over year and a half on the contract and it is not something that haunts me. I would like to end my career at Barca, but I repeat that this is an issue that we will address in due course."
