New Barcelona signing David Villa admits he's a big fan of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Villa rates England as a major threat to Spain's World Cup hopes.

He said: "I like a lot of their players but this season I would pick out Wayne Rooney.

"Frank Lampard also had a marvellous season and I have a special kind of admiration for Steven Gerrard.

"He's a player I like a lot. He has a lot of quality, energy, a great shot, huge talent and a winning mentality.

"I've always admired him for those qualities, as well as Lampard."
