Barcelona signing Paco Alcacer insists he wants the best for former club Valencia.

Alcacer's sale has been met with a backlash from Los Che fans.

"For me I'd have no problem returning to live in Valencia," he explained.

"People are free to express themselves as they want and I have to respect that. I wish Valencia the best and hope they return to the top level. I'm only thinking about the future now.

"At Valencia they've not been doing things well for a few years and they've not achieved results.

"If they do things well, they'd be close to Barça and Madrid. I wish them the best and hope they continue improving."
