Barcelona sign deal to help Indonesian market

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has signed an expansion to its sponsorship agreement with FC Barcelona that will see it become the club's official partner in Indonesia for the next two years.

The deal will see Oppo use Barcelona's branding across its marketing campaigns in the country, as well as launching special edition mobile devices and accessories.

The company will run Barcelona-themed activities for the club's Indonesian fanbase. Additionally, Oppo's logo will be displayed on the LED boards at Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium at home games across the two-year period.

"Indonesia is an important territory for FC Barcelona," said the club's vice president of marketing and communications, Manel Arroyo.

"We are blessed to have more than 26 million fans in the country. The Indonesians' passion for football is tremendous and we are amazed by their unwavering support. With this milestone incorporating Indonesia into our partnership with OPPO, we look forward to bringing the authentic Barça experience to OPPO users in Indonesia, and OPPO's outstanding products to our Iocal fans."
