Barcelona were stunned by Malaga at the Nou Camp last night.

Twenty-one-year-old Juanmi scored the only goal of the game after just seven minutes following a glaring mistake by Dani Alves and Barcelona never recovered, producing a sluggish display which knocks a huge dent in their title hopes.

The Catalans passed up the opportunity to go top of the table and instead remain a point behind league leaders Real Madrid, who had the opportunity to extend their advantage to four points by winning at Elche on Sunday evening.

Barca coach Luis Enrique said: "We can separate the first half from the second. In the first half we were fine, more or less. The opposition took advantage of a mistake that we made but there was order and balance. In the second half we were not great individually or collectively. There was no balance. It was no tour day."
