Barcelona have settled on Juanfran from Deportivo La Coruna as their emergency fullback signing.

Marca says Juanfran will be signed should they feel confident about challenging Real Madrid for the title.

Currently one point adrift off the league leaders but having played two games more, the Catalans will keep a close eye on Real's upcoming matches with Valencia and Villarreal before deciding to swoop for the right-back.

TV3 report that the 28-year-old would be available for 8 million euros from Premier League outfit Watford and would be eligible for a switch as he's currently on loan at Deportivo.
