Barcelona senior players are keen to protect new teammate Yerry Mina.

The Colombia defender made his full debut last weekend for the 0-0 draw with Getafe at the Nou Camp.

Sport says Mina has quickly settled at La Masia and his bubbly personality has impressed senior teammates.

However, many have seen this before and are wary of an on-field slip or error hitting the confidence of the young defender immediately.

"Without waiting, but without haste," is a motto Barca players have applied to Mina who is seen as a project player and not one expected to make the difference straight away.

Mina has been assured of this, as senior players have regularly given him advice and tips since his arrival.
