Barcelona's Pedro: Arsenal are now more dangerous

Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez feels that this season's Arsenal is a more dangerous proposition that what the Catalan giants faced last term.

In last season's Champions League quarter-finals, Barcelona trounced Arsenal 4-1 in the second leg at the Nou Camp after the 2-2 draw at the Emirates, to go through 6-3 on aggregate before losing the semi-final to eventual champions Inter Milan.

This term the two clubs meet in the Round of 16, with the first leg coming on Wednesday night in North London, and Pedro is well aware that Arsene Wenger has more to work with this time around.

"It will be a very difficult tie, different from last year as maybe they are more dangerous," he told the club's official website.

"They are in very good form. They have great players, especially up front. They have Cesc and (Robin) Van Persie, who is in very good form.

"They are very physical and strong, and their fans will help them a lot. It will be a nice game, open, and one where we hope to get a good result."

But the Spanish World Cup winner added: "We're going out to win the game. Getting a decent result in the first leg is always good and we hope to do that and finish it off at home."
