Barcelona's Henry linked with Manchester City

Barcelona striker Thierry Henry could be heading for a Premier League return after it was revealed that the Spanish club are willing to listen to offers. Manchester City are believed to be interested as new manager Roberto Mancini is keen to bring an experienced striker and after Spanish media reported that Barcelona were open to discussions, it seems as though a deal has some realistic potential.

One factor that could make it difficult is the fact the City's goalkeeper, Shay Given, was part of the Republic of Ireland team that were defeated in the final World Cup play-off by Henry's blatant handball in the penalty area in the dying stages of the match.

32-year old Henry has also been heavily linked with a move to MLS club New York Red Bulls and Barcelona know they will get a decent fee for him now and the fact they have other attacking options might persuade them to sell the former Arsenal superstar.
