Barcelona's Henry expected to move to New York Red Bulls

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Barcelona striker Thierry Henry is almost certain to make the move to MLS. The 32-year old striker has been linked with a move to New York Red Bulls, following in the path of former European stars David Beckham and Freddie Ljungberg among others and Balague has confirmed that something will happen after the World Cup.

"…regarding a swap deal (with Thierry Henry ) - no, it's not going to happen either. I've got the impression that Henry is leaving Barcelona at the end of the season," Balague said in regards to Henry moving from Barcelona to Manchester City in a swap with Robinho.

"There were meetings last month between his representatives and New York Red Bulls and I've got the impression that after the World Cup he is going to go to the MLS."

Henry is still at the top of his game in Spain's La Liga and a move to MLS will be enormous for the sport in the USA.
