Barcelona's Enrique: That's why we paid so much for Suarez

Luis Enrique rejoiced after Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-1 at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

The Catalan giants saluted in El Clasico courtesy of Luis Suarez's 56th-minute winner which came after Cristiano Ronaldo cancelled out Jeremy Mathieu's 19th-minute opener.

The victory allowed Barca to move four points clear of their arch rivals in Spain's top flight and a lot of the credit can be given to Uruguayan ace Suarez who struck his eighth league goal since joining from Liverpool for £75 million in the summer.

"In a football match, there are different moments and phases," said Enrique.

"They had the ball and looked very dangerous in the first half. In the second, the goal gave us some tranquility and we could have even scored another.

"We are very happy that Luís Suárez is such a decisive player, thanks to his goals, his attitude and what he brings to the team.

"That's why we paid what we paid for him."
