Barcelona's Deulofeu heaps praise on helpful Everton boss Martinez

Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu has lauded Everton manager Roberto Martinez.

The talented 20-year old winger spent time on loan with the Toffees last season and was impressive at times under the Spaniard.

Deulofeu has since returned to the Nou Camp after his time under Martinez and ahead of the new campaign, was complimentary of his fellow Catalonian.

"I had one lovely year with him, which was a great experience. He helped me a lot," said Deulofeu.

"If one day he came to Barcelona, he would be more than welcome and it would be good for him."

And Deulofeu is looking to make an impact on the Barcelona first team tis term after previously making six appearances for the Catalan giant.

"I don't think it is a particularly difficult season (to break through)," he added.

"I believe in myself. I am very enthusiastic and I am going to try as hard as I can to show everybody that I can play for the first team."
