Barcelona rocked by late Chelsea move for Udinese ace Sanchez

Chelsea are the new threat for Barcelona and Manchester City in their battle for Alexis Sanchez. Sport says new Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas wants to lure the Udinese star to Stamford Bridge.

Barca are convinced Sanchez would choose them over City, but Chelsea is another matter - particularly if Blues owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to go through with claims of a €45 million offer for the winger.

Such a bid would be a shock for Barca powerbrokers Josep Maria Bartomeu and Andoni Zubizarreta, who know the glamour of a move to Stamford Bridge would be enticing to Sanchez.

Barca are now seeking face-to-face talks with Udinese supremo Gino Pozzo to learn where they stand in the wake of Chelsea's late interest.
