Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo is a target for European champs Barcelona.
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca are ready to turn to Melo as they struggle to convince Liverpool to open talks over a deal for Javier Mascherano.
Melo has previous experience in Spain with Almeria and enjoyed an outstanding first season in Italy last term.
