Arsenal great Lee Dixon has placed Barcelona's recent failures on the over-reliance on their attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Following their exit from the Champions League at the hands of Juventus, Barcelona are looking likely to finish the ongoing season without a trophy.

Dixon says that besides the front three, there are huge gaps in the current Barcelona squad.

"In the past that attack was always enough but at the moment the balance just doesn't seem right," former Arsenal full-back Dixon said on ITV.

"There seems to be big gaps in the middle of the pitch. It just isn't quite firing.

"They are relying on those three too much."
