Barcelona officials will raise Thiago Silva's situation with their AC Milan counterparts this evening at the Champions League pre-match dinner. Barca have identified the Brazilian as a priority target for the summer market and will use tonight's game to register their formal interest in the defender.
Sandro Rosell, the Barca president, will be joined in Milan by the club's major powerbrokers - and will meet with Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani at the dinner function.
"It is normal that the best team in the world will finally look at the best defender in the world," laughed Galliani earlier this season.
