Barcelona will move for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan if they cannot prise David Villa away from Valencia.
Valencia president Manuel Llorente will hold a media conference today and is expected to give an update on the situation of Villa and teammates Juan Mata and David Silva.
AS says Barca won't allow the situation to drag on and if Llorente intimates he's not ready to sell Villa for a reasonable fee, they will turn to Forlan.
The Uruguay international is a favourite of Barca sports chief Txiki Begiristain, who was all ready to sign the former Manchester United forward before ex-coach Frank Rijkaard vetoed the move and bought Eidur Gudjohnsen from Chelsea instead.
