Barcelona are pushing a structured deal with Liverpool over the signing of Philippe Coutinho.

El Mundo Deportivo says the Catalan giants failed to lure the Brazilian to the Nou Camp over the summer, despite Coutinho handing in a transfer request at Anfield.

Liverpool stuck to their guns and were steadfast in their refusal to sell their star man, who has impressed this season despite speculation over his future.

Now Barca will offer far more lucrative add-ons, albeit with a smaller transfer fee, to try and get the deal done in January.

It's been claimed in Barcelona that Liverpool are prepared to sell for £120m next month.
