Barcelona are ready to step up their bid for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The Daily Mail says Valencia are driving up the price for No 1 target Vicente Guaita and though Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers recently said he is 'counting on' Reina for next season, an offer from Barcelona would be testing given the club's commitment to reducing their wage bill.
Reina is one of Liverpool's highest earners and still has three years left on his contract but the lure of returning to where he started his career, would be difficult to resist.
