Barcelona have made a move for Chelsea defender David Luiz.
The Brazil international only moved to Chelsea in January, but such has been his impact that Barca coach Pep Guardiola has already given his approval for president Sandro Rosell to move for the defender.
Rosell spoke with Luiz's agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, in Brazil, says Sport, to register their interest and was delighted to learn the player would welcome an offer from the European champs.
For the moment, there won't be any bid tabled by Barca, given Luiz's price in January from Benfica was €25 million plus Nemanja Matic.
The Double winners do not have the cash available to convince Chelsea to part with the young centre-half.
