Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has held his first planning session for next season with coach Pep Guardiola.

Sport says the pair met on October 20 for the first time to discuss matters going into 2012, including Guardiola's own contract.

Replacing veteran goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto and Eric Abidal's new contract talks were also on the agenda.

Rosell is confident Guardiola and his assistants will soon agree to new deals for next season - with an announcement to be made well before the campaign ends.
