Barcelona president Joan Laporta hailed their African pair Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto'o after last night's 5-1 thrashing of Levante.

"Those who have returned from Africa have been highly motivated. They proved to be the difference. Toure has been impressive and Eto'o has scored a hat-trick," said Laporta.

"We are playing as a team. In addition, Lionel Messi has been spectacular. We have many resources and the coach is showing he knows how to use them.

"We will have our chance to become leaders."
