Barcelona president Joan Laporta was unimpressed by Thiago Motta's criticisms after the midfielder signed for Atletico Madrid last week.

"Whenever he wanted to speak with me I made myself available," said Laporta, "and I have already said to him that I hope that he explains to me why he has made these claims.

"If he does not do so, I will understand that those words are the reaction of an immature person, who is incapable of understanding his own errors. I suppose that he will give some explanation me, because I trust that he has matured."
