Barcelona president Joan Laporta was delighted with the response from fans after drawing the second biggest crowd of the season to the Nou Camp for last night's 1-1 draw with Getafe.
Over 65,000 fans attended the match, knowing well that Barca star Lionel Messi would not be featuring.
A buoyed Laporta remarked: "The team fought until the last moment to win the match. There was good harmony between the players and the fans, and that's always important. They all applauded the team at the end of the match, despite not having won.
"That means they valued the effort. Getafe played well and took a fair point.
"We hope to have the support of the fans in these next two games we have in the Nou Camp."
