Barcelona president Laporta fuels Fabregas move
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Fri, 07/03/2009 - 02:01
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has added fuel to the fire as his pursuit of Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas continues.
Laporta said the Catalan club has always thought highly of Fabregas and basically invited him to come and play at the Nou Camp.
“As I’ve said many times, Cesc has Barcelona in his DNA and I think that one day he should play for Barca,” Laporta said.
“We all like him very much — he’s always been in our thoughts.”
Although it is unclear of what will become of the Barcelona link, it is certain that Fabregas is unhappy with Arsenal’s lack of titles recently following recent comments.
A move to Spain has been circling the 22-year old for some time now with Real Madrid also keen but it remains to be seen where his future lies.

Yawn.
This is crap. I thought FIFA had rules that clubs had to conduct themselves in a "appropiate manner" involving transfers. Doesn't exactly seem ethical, Barca or Madrid get away with anything they want to. They did it with Titi and they're doing it with Cesc. STOP TAKING OUR PLAYERS. But you can do it with Ade :) Should to a swap deal to Madrid to get up Barca's noses involving Klaas Jan-Huntelaar + Rafael Van der Vaart or Wesley Sneijder for Ade. Would be good business. Huntelaar's what we need and would keep Robin happy and he might sign his deal
the signing of long term contracts by both wilshire & ramsey who play in fab position may be the precursor to his imminent departure
