Barcelona president Joan Laporta was delighted to see Samuel Eto'o amongst the goals in last night's 3-1 defeat of Stuttgart.

"We have played well and shown ourselves to be one of the favourites for the Champions League," said Laporta. "I am especially pleased for Eto'o after he scored tonight. That was very important for him, because he loves a goal.

"For the team's success, it was fundamental that Samuel rediscover his scoring touch."

On Bojan Krkic's failure to break the Champions League record for the youngest ever scorer, Laporta insisted: "He still has games ahead of him, he needs to be patient and continue progressing. Everyone at Barcelona are very excited about him."
