Barcelona president Joan Laporta says they're yet to open serious talks with Bayern Munich for winger Franck Ribery. Last night, Ribery ruled out moving to England, so making Barca or Real Madrid favourites for the Frenchman.

Laporta said: "He's one of the best in the world in his position. Our technical leadership is interested, we'll decide whether or not at the end of the season.

"When we tried to sign him last year, Bayern did not sell and we did not insist."
