Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has welcomed new signing Clement Lenglet from Sevilla.

After passing his medical examination in the morning, the defender put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at the Camp Nou until June 2023, and with a release clause of €300m.

"We have been following this player for a long time," Bartomeu said to reporters.

"He's an excellent player, knows LaLiga well and that has been an important factor.

"We know that he and his family like the city of Barcelona so, welcome, and thank you for coming here."
