Barcelona president Bartomeu reveals talks for 'a couple of signings'

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says they'll be working the local transfer market.

Currently on holiday in the Balearic Islands, the club president took the opportunity to talk to two executives of SD Formentera, who confessed that Bartomeu had revealed this information to them.

"He said that Barça were tracking the domestic market to try and close a couple of signings," said one of the executives to futbolpitiuso.com.

Bartomeu was also interested in the performance of the Formentera directors, who he congratulated for remaining in the Tercera Division and trying ever year to reach the Segunda Division.

"We talked a little about football and he congratulated our record for Formentera in recent seasons," the director concluded, "Bartomeu told us that he knew we had done will in recent years, in this regard he said he had much respect for a team that comes from such a small island."
