Barcelona president Bartomeu insists Man City won't tempt Messi away

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is confident Lionel Messi cannot be tempted away. There's been talk in Spain of Manchester City meeting Messi's €200 million buyout clause, but Bartomeu argues the final decision would still be left to the Argentine.

"I would not say so (he would leave), so why would I ask? I do not want Messi to leave Barca and he will not leave Barca,.

"It is what I think. He has been formed in our club and is having an amazing career. I do not think anyone will pay the clause.

"If someday Messi wants to leave, I will try to convince him otherwise."
