Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu can't guarantee Andre Gomes staying next season.

The midfielder is understood to have cleared out his locker room and is working on a move to England with his agent, Jorge Mendes. Tottenham and West Ham have been mentioned as potential destinations.

Bartomeu said of Barca's €35m signing: "André Gomes was a very famous signature at the time. He's had fewer minutes than the others, I would like the players we sign stay here and win here.

"It is true that a few months ago he said that he was suffering because he did not meet expectations, but he is a very admired player in the locker room. Coming to Barça is not easy and requires patience."
