Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has hinted their move for Philippe Coutinho is off.
Bartomeu admits Liverpool's asking price for the Brazil international is too rich for them - despite agreeing a fee rising to €150m with Borussia Dortmund for Ousmane Dembele.
Bartomeu told 8tv: "Coutinho? If the market does not allow it, nothing can be done.
"The market is changing with the entry of money that does not come from the world of football..."
He added: "I have no frustration about the transfer market. I'm very happy with the recruits. We wanted a good right back and (Nelson) Semedo arrived. Paulinho joined us in midfield and (Ousmane) Dembélé to replace Neymar. And I'm very happy with the return of (Gerard) Deulofeu."
