DiarioSport says the Spain international is back on Barca's radar after they had a bid for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Andrei Arshavin turned down this week.
Barca have been encouraged by Valencia's financial problems and are convinced they will sell Silva if a reasonable offer is made.
