Barcelona powerbrokers are split over the potential return of Thiago Alcantara.

The Spain midfielder is considering leaving Bayern Munich this summer, with the German giants seeking €70m to sell.

Sport says Barca coach Ernesto Valverde and new sports director Eric Abidal are eager to bring Thiago back to La Masia. However, general manager Pep Segura holds the opposite view.

Segura doesn't believe Barca should waste time trying to sign a player who left the club.

But amongst coaching staff, there's an eagerness for Barca to pursue a deal.
