Barcelona striker Luis Suarez admits Gerard Pique's booking in victory over Leganes is a blow.

Pique's yellow card means he will play no part at Valencia next week.

"The absence of Pique at Mestalla is very important," Suarez noted.

"But there will be teammates who will try to replace him in the best way."

Barca coach Ernesto Valverde added: "It was a circumstance that could happen and it has happened.

"The important thing was the Leganes game. I protested a lot because [Nordin] Amrabat likes contact, leaning in on the opponent...

"The crowd screamed for it and, for me, it was his [Amrabat] fault.

"But hey, the referee is the one who decides."
