Barcelona have opened talks with PSV Eindhoven for midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.
PSV have put Afellay up for sale ahead of the January market with the player to come off contract at the end of the season.
Afellay has spoken of wanting to play in England with Manchester United or Liverpool, however, Barca are now in talks to secure the youngster in the New Year.
Sport says a cut-price move for Afellay could be a sign of Barca's board now reigning in their spending after inheriting massive debts from the previous regime.
