Barcelona aren't rushing to open new contract talks with Carles Puyol.

The skipper's current deal expires in June, but both parties are committed to him playing on next season.

"With Puyol we had a conversation and we have framed the first general aspects of the contract," said Barca sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.
