Barcelona midfielder Xavi has taken a swipe at Inter Milan.
Barca lost the semi-final 3-2 on aggregate, as only a late goal managed to beat a side that had Thiago Motta controversially dismissed after 28 minutes.
"We played the game we had to and the only disappointment is that we were unable to score more than one goal," he said of the 1-0 second leg result.
"We tried every possible way to hit the back of the net. We are proud of what we did, I don't know if in Milan they can say the same."
Xavi sides with the section of the Spanish Press who claimed Inter's defensive display at the Nou Camp was 'anti-football.'
The Madrid-based newspapers, however, have hailed Jose Mourinho's tactical triumph.
"It is very sad for a Blaugrana faithful like me to go out, as playing the Final at the Bernabeu would've been the best.
"At least in Madrid they're a little more relaxed now, as we have saved them this painful evening."
