Valencia are favourites to sign Barcelona midfielder Rafinha.
Plaza Deportivo says Rafinha's father Mazinho has been seen in Valencia on Thursday.
Mazinho, who is also his son's agent, was seen at the club's Paterna base having been speaking with representatives of the club.
He was speaking with Valencia's new sporting director José Ramón Alexanko. Los Che are interested in Rafinha, but they are not willing to pay the 30 million euros the Catalan club want for the Brazil international.
Rafinha has a meeting pending with Ernesto Valverde, although he's already informed the club he'd like to leave if he can't be promised regular football next season.
